I had something of a mini-crisis when drawing this picture, where I started following the lines too precisely and carefully.
I ended up spending hours on the flat colours (something I don't plan to do again), and the result was neat, boring and emotionless.
Having taken a few days off, I came back with a new attitude and just decided to mess everything up, do some interesting shading, and not worry about being neat.
In the end, I'm quite happy with the result, though not with the time it took (roughly 5-6 hours total).
The image is also... unfinished, which I want to say is part of the aesthetic of it being more polished at the top and more sketch-y at the bottom, but probably I just got bored.
